What a week! This past week was my first full week of ministry and it was about three hours south of where I stayed at training camp. Our ministry was at a summer camp that we were doing lots of renovations with. Many people were painting, cleaning up trails, landscaping, and I was helping remodel the dining hall! All this work was to prepare a better space for future campers, staff, and any retreats that happen at this camp. Lots of hard work went into getting as much done as we could in a week.
Every night we had a little bit of free time and it was filled with team time, Walmart runs, soccer, and pool fun. We were definitely spoiled this week but it was so much fun to bond with my team over game of soccer, and conversations throughout the week. During team time I was able to share my testimony and explain how I got to be on the world race. I also got to hear three other people's testimonies and it is so cool to see how the Lord moves in others. God has really brought each person to this race for a specific purpose and it will be a wonderful journey to watch everyone grow. I know I will challenged on what I believe because everyone comes from different backgrounds and views of church. Yet through these differences and challenges of what I believe, we will still work as a team to share the Gospel and love on each other.
As the week came to end I realized that I get to spend the next nine months of my life serving, growing, and learning with my squad that I have grown so connected to in only two weeks. After a 3 day debrief we begin our journey to Greece, and we leave Wednesday evening for 30 hours of travel! I cannot wait to experience a new culture, and a different kind of ministry other than manual labor. A big focus in Greece will be evangelizing, and I personally am excited to grow in my confidence to evangelize and share the Gospel with others.
The Lord is continuing to work in my life and in my whole squad. I soooo ready for Greece! ๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ท
Also I am still only about 50% funded so if you feel led to continue to give financially I would be so thankful! Have a blessed week!๐
